My best friend made a mix CD for the ride to Coachella. The Kills - "Alphabet Pony" came up in the mix. The lyrics were strange, the sound was a more structured punk sound, but most importantly, the first thought that came to my mind was, "What the hell is this?"... Which is a good thing, because that means it captures your attention. After a few times of listening to "Alphabet Pony", it grew on me, and so did The Kills after I listened to the rest of their music. Definitely recommend sticking with this one and letting it grow on you; even if you don't like it at first :). Oh, and their music videos are pretty cool, too.
